Do you charge a call out fee?
No, Guildford Locksmiths only charge for the hours labour and with no call out fee. This is the case whatever the time of day or night. We've heard of other locksmiths charging a late night or emergency fee but we don't believe that's fair.
How long can you get here in?
We aim to get to clients within half an hour or at a time prearranged with you. In most cases we arrive within 30 minutes and complete the job on the spot 92% of the time - our locksmiths vans come fully stocked and even with a key cutting machine on board.
Do you take debit/credit card payments?
Yes, our mobile lock engineers carry a portable credit card terminal with them. We also take cash payments and always give receipts.
Are you a multinational agency or call centre?
No, we are independent locksmith company that only operates in the local area ensuring you get a fast and efficient service at a reasonable locksmith price. Locksmiths sent via a call centre are typically more expensive due to the higher costs needed to run their business and takes them longer to arrive at the job as there are more calls involved. With us you speak directly with the the engineer you'll be meeting.
Do I get a warranty?
All locksmithing work comes with a standard one year warranty. All are locks are insurance approved and comply to the British Standard: BS3621 BS8621 BS1062
Are your staff CRB checked?
Yes, although it's not standard practice, we believe all staff in this industry should be CRB checked as a safety procedure. Customers need to feel comfortable and safe knowing locksmiths working at their home or office are trusted and reliable.
Are you open 24 hours a day?
We operate a 24h emergency locksmith service. This is frequently used by customers who need to gain access to their property as they've lost, damaged or had their keys stolen.
I've just moved homes, should I change my front door lock?
